Issues starting

Hi all, new Uconsole user here, I have just upgraded to cm5, and image was fantastic, thank you Rex, but now it seems I have to boot and shutdown a couple of times for it to startup , is this normal?

…Depends. Are you starting the image for the first time? Can you share the status messages generated when you boot?

Hi , thank you for the reply, no, multiple boots, just now to get it to boot, I had to startup (blank screen) and then hold the power button until it goes off, and then on again 3 times for it to start to boot

yes, you need to upgrade an eeprom, they released CM5 a bit buggy

EEPROM config and the CM5 lite

With the upcoming release of NVME capable adapter boards from @vileer & @lululvlv I have changed up the EEPROM config to be able to use them. If you have a CM5 lite and are having problems with the sd card booting or have already updated the config but plan on getting a NVMe board. You need to edit your EEPROM and your CM5 lite has to have updated firmware that was released after 2025-01-06.
