Now supports the CM4 & 5 on the uConsole* and DevTerm! Fully updateable, some packages are held that will replace the custom kernel.
*CM3 also works with old uConsoles.
Manjaro is a free and open-source Linux distribution based on the Arch Linux operating system that has a focus on user-friendliness and accessibility. It uses a rolling release update model and Pacman as its package manager.
Features: ClockworkPi-Manjaro-MATE-6.12.y
Sane charging defaults applied.
External WiFi antenna already set in config.txt.
linux-headers included with kernel
Auto-expanding file system
On first boot system will boot expand FS then reboot.
Links to my working/testing images and kernels with the *.deb files to install in the mega folder if you want for different OSs.
Google Drive link for the main image if Mega doesnât work for you.
Hereâs my Github with the rpi-6.12.y branch if youâd like to compile yourself. All the ClockworkPi drivers are pre-marked to compile in bcm2711_defconfig or bcm2712_defconfig. Also the APT repo with kernels and hardware scripts for ClockworkPi devices
Trying to apply updates through package manager I get an empty window âChoose a provider for dbus-unitsâ and then âcould not satisfy dependencies: - removing harfbuzz-icu breaks dependency âharfbuzz-icuâ required by webkit2gtk-4.1â
I installed Manjaro and updated it. It warned me about several ignored Raspberry Pi-related packages. After I used sudo pacman -Syu --overwrite â*â to force the update, the screen didnât light up after restarting. Why is this happening? Should I avoid updating these packages?
That was the stock kernel that was ignored. By overwriting the ignore list it updated the stock kernel so you no longer had the custom kernel and drivers needed for the uConsole to work properly.
I tried last week manjaro mate for my uconsole and looked very promising.
But after updating system (with ui) my os was able to boot anymore. Just for you to know.
I would very pleased to try next version of this image if fixed
Did you force update the held back packages? If so you overridden the custom uConsole kernel for the manjaro kernel that doesnât have the drivers for the uConsole.
Well yep, I did this too⌠Went into updates and manually checked all the kernel updates to install. Didnât realise they were deliberately part of an ignore list! Will bear this in mind for sure. Iâm guessing, no chance of recovery?
In case it helps, I think I saw that the original kernel was version 5.x and the update was 6.x.
Well I went to download the image again to reinstall on my uConsole, looks like it was taken down. Are there plans to bring it back, or refresh it with a newer kernel and all that?
Yes, I went to flash it a few days ago and updating it breaks the DE. So I removed it till I make a new image. Guess that image got to old and the massive update broke it.
