Onboard screen, keyboard, and trackpad do not function

I am in a bit of an odd issue, i have had previous issues but do not believe I described them very well in the past.

Issue:

Device will not recognize the keyboard, screen and trackpad. The device will boot and the screen will even light up bright on boot. As soon as it starts booting the screen will then dim and become unresponsive.

The device does function though. I have the device running through micro hdmi and the display works perfectly. I have a keyboard and mouse connected via dock to USB-C. The network jack is even functioning on the AIO board.

The device runs, i can run updates, use the entire device, just not on the actual device. I am running bookworm and downloads from Rex’s google drive.

Hardware:

Running HackerGadgets full kit, currently have an NVME drive in the device with no sd card. CM5 but it doesn’t matter both cm4 and cm5 both replicate the same issue.

EEPROM is set properly and everything is up to date.

I have ordered a main board as I believe due to my stupidity that the main board is having issues. The odd thing is that for about a day the device was functioning as expected using the onboard screen, keyboard and trackpad. When shutting down the device went to blank screen and has not recovered since. I have tried 3 NVME drives and all have the same result. SD cards do not boot at all no matter what I do.

I really do not know what to do at this point and believe the device should be functioning but will simply not output to the onboard components.

try to run on stock hardware without HG boards

I have done so, worse results since the SD card reader is not working. Fully stock the device will not boot at all, will boot with just the NVME battery board from HG added and not the USB board but the same issue stays persistent.

And do you have cm5 lite with sd card, not emmc version? as sd card won’t work on emmc cm5.

seems like a hadrware issue, ensure that everything is connected properly and fully inserted into slots.

CM5 lite 16gb ram, ill ensure everything is connected but it does seem to be based on last time I took it apart and put it back together earlier today.
