I am running a CM5 lite with 16gb ram variant. I have no other upgrades(yet) beside vitaly usb c board.
I have been running the CM5 for a long while now and just recently the device stopped booting. I have been testing a lot and have tried different SD cards and all.
Basically the screen backlight comes on and the device boots to the start page (fresh OS (bookworm and trixie on sd card) the keyboard and trackball do not function at all.
This exact setup has worked for almost over a year at this point and now all the sudden no matter what i do the device will not boot to the internal display and the keyboard no longer works. I even put in my CM4 and the same exact thing happens as well now to it. I am a bit lost to what I should try to do.
SO i reconnected everything after cleaning it really well, it came on one time to the screen and keyboard and trackball, however after 15+ reboots it sadly has not come back but that one time. It may be in order to replace the main board
Are you doing this with the cm4 or cm5?
Are you plugged into power? If something broke it would stay broken at all the sudden just wouldn’t work once. If you have a cm5 lite make sure your eeprom is updated and the config changed to match what’s posted here in the forum.
Both CM4 and CM5 were tested, the eeprom is set properly. Have tested with both power and battery with same results. I have since realized that liquid seeped into the device from the sd card hole. I have ordered a new main board as I do believe this to be hardware now.
