Hello,
I am new here and just received my PicoCalc.
Everything went together fine and i had the Basic prompt and tried a few things.
Then I decided to get creative for some reason. I have been playing around with ZeptoForth and for some reason decided it would be a good idea to flash it to the PicoCalc.
Disaster, i can see ZeptoForth via TerraTerm. But obviously nothing on the screen.
I tried to revert back to MMBasic and other images and the UF2 file copies but does not reset when done as usual, and Zeptoforth is still there.
Is there something else I need to do? Try and flash the Pico2 outside the PicoCalc?
Any help would be appreciated.
From the official PicoMite Documentation:
It is possible for the flash memory to be corrupted resulting in unusual and unpredictable behaviour. In that case you should download the appropriate firmware file listed below and load it onto the Pico as described above. This will reset the Raspberry Pi Pico to its factory fresh state, then you can reload the PicoMite firmware:
Raspberry Pi Pico (RP2040) https://geoffg.net/Downloads/picomite/Clear_Flash.uf2
Raspberry Pi Pico 2 (RP2350) https://geoffg.net/Downloads/picomite/Clear_Flash_RP2350.uf2
The same way you would load any uf2 files.
Make sure you’re flashing the correct firmware for the Pico module you’ve got. If Pico2 firmware is flashed to a Pico, or vice-versa, then it won’t actually flash anything. You shouldn’t need to remove the module, as long as you’re connecting the USB cable to the micro-USB port, and pressing the bootsel button inside the case when plugging in the USB to your PC. (It won’t work if you connect to the USB-C port instead.)

Thanks very much for the quick reply, I will try that and let you know.
Thanks for the info. I am using the USB port on the Pico2 and I am pretty sure I have the right firmware.

If you already have aa version of MMBasic running, you can initiate flash mode from the keyboard without having to press the tiny button inside the case.
