Preferred internet browser?

Might seem like a trivial question, but I’m curious which browser do you guys use.
I am currently using FireFox, but it’s slow to start and I feel like a lot of space is lost between the titlebar and the addressbar.

I tried to use lynx… but the lack of Javascript support is sometimes an issue. Many sites are unable to display correctly.
I wanted to try qutebrowser and surf but my abilities are not quite yet there, so I can’t compile them from source.

So I’m curious to know which browser are you using and why

Chromium with “Better Chromium” installed on top, Because it’s the only way for me to use Netflix and some other DRM protected sites.

I’ve been using Brave browser on all my stuff and its been great. Even the search results using its native search works well and I’ve had zero need to use google.

Regarding the toolbar, you can go minimal and have tabs vertical(still ok space horizontal though).

Other things I like is it has built in ad blocker for websites and youtube. You can install web pages like apps and theres zero space wasted as you can see on Spotify which is just its webpage.

I think I tried most browsers from the Pi-Apps application and none caught my eye.
The one I ended up using is “Web” by gnome

It’s slow to start, like firefox probably, but subsequent starts are much faster and I like that.
I also like that the UI is very minimal. The tabs exist but they don’t have an additional stripe like in firefox or chrome/chromium and I can just ignore tabs altogether.
I also use carbonyl. That would be my browser of choice if the development was not abandoned. Super fast and it works with chromium so pretty much everything is supported.
Sadly, my C++ and Rust skills are basically nonexistent so I don’t know how to modify the code to use an updated chromium core version :frowning:

Anyway, Web is pretty good. Also, if you are interested, check Carbolyl Browser. it’s cool.
