Shortcut to disable orca?

I did something, mashing keys, and now orca starts by default and reads everything to me.

Anyone know the magic hotkeys to disable it?

Or how to access the settings in Rex’s Trixie?

Try ‘killall orca’ in terminal for a quick fix, then search the basic menu settings and finally config files (don’t have my Uconsole to check till tomorrow)…

My daughter did that when playing with my device. I just uninstalled it, it got annoying real quick.

nope, this doesnt persist across reboot :frowning:

Maybe delete…

/etc/xdg/autostart/orca-autostart.desktop

I’ll uninstall orca if it comes to it. Was hoping to figure out how to disable it, but I’ve never used a screen reader so I should just stop fighting it

try disabling it at the login screen.

Don’t see any options for that in the rex trixie image login application

Yea, sorry, was going from memory, it’s an option on x86 debian.

You’re good, yeah it is in a lot of the login tools but sadly not the default one on rex’s trixie

you can disable autologin via sudo raspi-config

That’s not the issue.

Yeah, there is just no option for it in the labwc launcher.

I desperately need to figure out what to call the login application.
