Updating.
With the CM5, yes when the batteries get about 50%+/- depending on how good your batteries are. The speakers with make a scratching noise even with no audio playing. If you are getting it at 100% your batteries are not that great, and you might need to find better ones. I recommend Samsung 35Es.
insert bigger card and boot!
i’m glad your unit is working!

I have a issue now screen looks like its on but blank screen i think my batteries died on me. But how do you completely turn the device off it seems screen is still lit up.Presseng power button wont boot up.holding power down wont boot off.
I habe plugged in to charge but is there a way to tell its charging may be the batteries died. But its so strange the screen is still lit up and not tottaly off?
Your batteries are weak, when the CM5 looses power like that the AXP PMU still keeps power and the batteries need to be removed to power off the device. While I do get static from the speakers at 50% and below My device will run to 0% and shutdown. I have other batteries that do the same as what yours are doing and they’re old batteries.
How would i k ow the battery is charging when i plug into the charger. Theres no lights that light up.
Let them charge all the way, then run them dead. I get about 2-2.5 hours watching youtube with the CM5 with my batteries. The sound starts scratching at about 50%
Okay charging now i still got to add your edits above but will wait the the batteries to charge fully first.
you don’t know, but they are
It seems to shut down fine with the 32gb sd card
@Rex you are a knight, sir.
@jutleys Shutting down from the command line, menu or button will work fine. It’s only if the device crashes, like the battery dying that the button wont work to shut down.
@white-round-square Thank you sir!
It’s a terminal editor so you can’t just highlight and delete. You need to use the delete or backspace to delete the section. Then you can right click and paste and copied text to the terminal then save.
