uConsole full CAD design files request

I bought the uConsole with the explicit promise made by Clockwork Pi that the device would be open source, open hardware and open design.

Thus I hereby request to receive the full CAD (editable) software source files for the circuit boards (schematics, board designs) and all the mechanical components.

If you state that your hardware is open design then I expect the design files to be published or at least handed to those who ask. It has been a couple of years since I bought the device and yet these files are not yet available.

The repository on Github only contains Gerber exports, not the source files. Also it is missing the design files for almost all mechanical components of the device.

Either comply with your own promises or remove the open hardware and open design markings from your device.

did you get them from help@clockworkpi.com?
they would be interesting/useful to have

I’ve sent the same request to the provided email address. If I receive an answer I will let you know.

Might also be a good idea to email alex@clockworkpi.com

I don’t know how often they monitor the help address, but Alex seems to respond quickly, and even if he’s not the right person to contact, he would likely forward the request to the correct person.

not sure if anyone else did it, so i emailed Alex. i actually asked for the Gameshell, Devterm and/or the uconsole. i own all 3 (still waitng on the uconsole to ship… but its been bought) and am “skilled” at CAD so making custom shells might be nice

if you need CAD in meaning of the 3d model, you can have them for free in the shop:

below images there are coupon codes you have to use for free download.

but it’s not a solution for electrical schemes

the schematics would be nice, but not what i’m looking for at this time. I had to do 3 seperate checkouts to get all 3 but it does work. now i can start to tinker. thanks for pointing out that im blind White-Round-Square.
