Yeah bro i would love to see it. I feel like the mods on these babies are just now starting to get drawn up and deployed and its good to see because these are a whole lot of fun. I have a pocketchip too, so having both of these are great and its like having the 2 top hand held computers that were ever created so far and being able to mod the shit out of them, software and hardware, is what makes these above the others. I still cant pick between the two of which is overall best.
Here is a simple 3d print adapter that uses the machined slot for the antenna cable at the top of the uconsole as a holder. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:6491464
Mine now looks exactly like the photo the seller put up, not much to see that’s different.
If I ever get time back for doing things, I may mill one out of aluminum just for fun.
Mine so far. I should have the antenna bracket Saturday (friend is printing it for me). Thinking of painting the back panel matte black to match.
This looks great, any possibility you have links to the small USB-C connector and the M.2 adapter you fitted there? looks very tidy.
So tiny! Thank you, this is super helpful. Do you boot from the M.2?
Purely for storage. I don’t think the uConsole has a solution to boot from usb yet.
Love the red trackball for that authentic trackpoint look ![]()
Where did you order the screws from and did they need any trimming?
Nice. Ordered in red. I had gotten some thumb screws in red for the back that were m4x6mm and they fit fine but I wasn’t sure if the face plate might have had shallower holes.
posted in another thread, but thought to post it here as well.
i added a second wifi adapter, inside, while using the side facing SMA port, with a RP-SMA cable.
awesome to have two wifi boards, because I can use one in monitor mode, and still have a working internet connection.
The antennas do you have a link for them?
Unfortunately I bought them long before I had my uConsole. The links are lost to time.
you mean this one?
uConsole RTL-SDR/LoRa/GPS/RTC/USB Hub All-In-One Extension Board – Hacker Gadgets
Aaaaand I now have orange screws. Thanks!
Tried that one but it wasn’t secure enough. The adapter wobbled too much for my taste. In the end, I used the one that has holes for lego attachments and got me one of those external antenas with an elbow. Works just fine, it’s a little bulky but it works.
This is my favorite design thus far. I will be trying this one out first.
