Thanks for the pointer. I found that, but I don’t know what a DT expansion board is. The fact that working ports change from configuration to configuration also prompted me to doubt that whatever approach that would work for the standard configurations (A06, rpi CM4, etc) would work in this case, thus my question.
EDIT Right, DT=DevTerm, meaning the DevTerm EXT board. I suppose I could reimplement a debug board expansion card based on the schematic. In any case, GPIO 32 and 33 goes directly to UART.
how is the audio and thermals?
No Audio at the moment people are trying to figure it out.The thermals are better than CM5 Raspberry Pi.
Can I attleast plug in headphones? Does Wi-Fi and Bluetooth work?
The headphone port wont work and the Radxa CM5 doesn’t have built-in BT/WiFi. I have used a dongle though for WiFi and audio.
Yeah im definitely using a cm4 lite with 8gb ram
Rex how can we use alternate wifi on this board would simply connecting usb wifi work. I can also test the 4g module to see if that works. I should have my device soon to build this one.
If the WiFi drivers are there then it should work, the 4g script might need some tweaking for the gpio layout of the Radxa but should work. Boot for the first time without that card though just to test, some card using the gpio can cause the board not to boot. I ran into that problem with the SDR/LoRa/GPS/RTC card.
Do you think you can get SDR/LoRa/GPS/RTC working on Radxa CM5?
No, the pins that connect the GPIO to the LoRa don’t match the RPis ones and just with the card connected will cause the Radxa to lock up and not even try and boot.
Do you know if the USB pins match? Specifically, would Joe’s hub work?
Yes, the USB is fine and Joe’s card does work with the Radxa.
I think someone needs to make a expansion card for Radxa. Sound, wifi&Bluetooth, 4G and all ports available?
