I live in Oceania, and I am wondering how long it would take to ship.
Once its ready, final delivery time does not vary much. Most of the delay is in production.
And unless you live on an island where packages come by boat, i would say about a week maximum.
So considering the average waiting time before shipping seems to be about 3 to 4 months, the shipping itself should be negligible.
oops by shipping time, i mean time from order to doorstep aprox
Ah, see below thread. A pretty large batch was just sent out and received by many people (including me), and a lot posted the order date, model, and shipping or receiving date. With the most basic model, no 4g, about 3 to 4 months as i mentioned.
Edit: And NO CORE! Better to order your own Compute Module
from what i’ve seen here and on reddit, the average is around 4 months, you can email Alex after 90 days and would still give you around 2 to 3 weeks since they hand it over to their courier by batches. and like Mark said, DO NOT include the compute module..
Either way, they dont send in 90days , alex will say it takes 90days. But after that good luck getting a real status.
Where can I order a 4gb pi 4 compute module in oceania for a cheap-ish price?
Unfortunately the speed of uConsole production has gone backwards. There are still April orders that are unfulfilled.
Try element14, they’re good for price
is this good: https://au.element14.com/raspberry-pi/cm4104000/rpi-compute-module-4-lite-4gb/dp/3563487
yes, but:
- 4gb?
- c4m? not cm5?
- don’t buy it till you have uconsole shipping notification
yeah, I also noticed that since most of the orders that are fulfilled are May onwards, including mine.
I would suggest go for cm5, 8GB or 16GB Ram if you got extra cash, its 2~3 times faster. while having some issues, its getting integrated by the day by the community specially Rex.
That’s fine if you want CM4.
