uConsoles in stereo!

Just finished building the one on the left, which arrived this week. CM4 on the left, CM5 and HackerGadgets AIO board on the right.

I cloned the card I’ve been using with the CM5 and booted the new uConsole with it. I had a heck of time trying to sort the rotated screen using xrandr and fighting the OS to create files (permissions), until I read Rex’s post about just using raindrop. I spent over 2hrs messing with xrandr and 10 seconds with raindrop. Noobs!

The one on the left is supposed to be for Python/PICO-8 dev and learning Linux, but @white-round-square forced me to download RetroPie :face_with_hand_over_mouth::grin: and now I have a feeling it’s going to become an emulation device for the foreseeable future!

xrandr is for x11, raindrop is for wayland

if you switch back to x11 than xrandr will work. Not sure you should though.

No wonder haha. That does explain why I wasn’t getting anywhere with xrandr then. Raindrop worked first time. Thanks for explaining, it would have bugged me why one worked and the other didn’t otherwise
