After a year of CM5, I think I am going to get a CM4. Should I expect any issues with CM4+ Hacker Gadgets AIO v1 board?

Also just wanted to thank @Rex for the CM5 support. You are incredible. Only reason for my switch is I want to use the CM5 in a Hackberry Pi 5 insead, as my UConsole use has been a lot lighter in nature than I expected it to be, and the CM5 prices are getting insane, buying another is not a fun idea.

Anyway. I’ve not used the CM4 in the Uconsole before, nor do I own one yet. Before I dive in to research myself, how are others experience with Cm4+Hacker Gadgets AIO v1 SDR? I still just have original main board, nothing else upgraded.

Get the lite cm4 with wifi and just plug and play. You don’t even need to reflash your SD card.

Thank you! I’ll likely go fresh install anyway to clean up shop. Glad to hear I don’t need to if I just get lazy, though. By the way my first proper linux experience was Uconsole+Cm5, actually longer than a year ago for sure. Debian on a “real” computer is a breeze compared to that intense learning experience. You single handily pretty much gave the perfect Debian “for dummies” masterclass without me even knowing it at the time. I really do appreciate it.

I use a CM4 lite with 4GB Ram and the AIOv1 on my uConsole and it works really well. I was thinking I would play with the CM4 and then upgrade to the CM5, but the CM4 works so well, and the CM5 has issues with heat and power that I just stuck with the CM4.

Get a CM4 lite (no emmc) otherwise you can’t use the SD card.

我也打算买一块cm4,因为我又订购了一台黑色uc
