Audio Recording over headphonejack

I have take a short look at the audio schematics and it seems some mic points are connected to the headphone. Does this means we can record audio over the headphone jack?
I have tried it with audacity but with no success.

I’ve looked into this before.
If you follow the schematic you’ll see the mic nets going to the compute module on pins 124,126, and 128. If you look at the docs of the raspberry pi compute module, you’ll see these pins are not connected and have no function.

So this leaves a possible explanation: mic is possibly supported on A04 A06, but not CM
