It so cool! Is the size of the screen matchs GameShell screen? or we need other screen? I am dreaming about creating a blader runner-like GameShell TV But It too hard for me.
the regular CPI 3.1 board wouldn’t be powerful enough for the bigger screen, and i want it to be powerful enough to play PS2 / N64 games decently, and it’s something some people mentioned wanting
i wish it had a real CRT, but an LCD with a front lens to give the appearance of the curved tube or just a plain LCD is fine, and i posted on the thingiverse group
I saw you in GameShell discord! Do you have a plan to create a GameShell TV which has blader-runner-2049-like UI ? I love it very much! Please tell me something if you have any progress!
Hi! i’m currently working on a functional case for one of the modular controllers. Feel free to talk to me at any time if you have an idea. Also, i haven’t seen blade runner, i’m sort of going off of what i want in a console, which seems to be similar, except that theme is sort of the D.E.O.T. version of what i’m going for, with all of the wire-frame, vector details and the sort of astro-theme
hopefully the 3.14 or whatever new updated model they release in april will be up to par, i assume it will be so as it can have up to x4 the RAM, a more powerful CPU, and better GPU
Not for ps2, unless they manage to make an x86 architecture compute module. Arm just won’t cut it.
I wouldn’t get your hopes up re: PS2. I can’t even emulate it well on my computer. I won’t say more, since it’s a bit off topic, but just search up ps2 and rpi4 to get a general idea.
A lot of PS2 games were on GameCube/Dreamcast too, so that can be a stop fix at least.
well, we just noticed that they were experimenting with x86, so it could be possible
also, i found out the displays i was planning to use are the price of Trinitrons around the same size, so it’s possible we could make one with a real CRT
