Display Panel Issues

I’ve emailed Alex, but I thought I’d ask if anyone know what the problem might be.

I received and assembled my Picocalc yesterday, it was working great, and this afternoon the upper part of the display was distorted. I open it back up, checked that everything was seat correctly, and that there wasn’t any apparent damage to the plane or ribbon. The only thing i did today was to update Picomite and play with the display brightnes. I don’t think i man handled anything, putting it together.

Looks like panel damage. Take a closer look at the bottom corners.

I just assembled mine today. I have this same issue on the same part of the screen. I was extra careful assembling it and the ribbon cable doesn’t appear damaged.

I also would like to know where I might be able to get a replacement screen.

Replacement was received within a week. I only just had the chance to sit down with the PicoCalc and swap it out. New screen is flawless.

Awesome! I had the same issue as above (my screen looked exactly like that). I emailed Alex and my display should here by Sunday too. I hope you taped you screen this time and/or followed some other recommendations: Avoid Breaking Your Screen - #3 by DigitalDreams
