Guys, let’s support @Rex by donating!
So this is the best image to use for SDR @Rex can you do us a guide how to install and run Dump1090 please brother with the SDA lora expanshion board.
I can do up a guide on it this weekend
Thank you.Rex that be awesome.
I dont know but i think it would even better if you could add it to the image and update the image. Unless its not too hard to do.
Is it possible to get Dragon OS working with CM5?
Yes, and I’ll get back to it. The login manager is crashing on the CM5, tomorrow I’ll look into it more.
I bookmark this thread
I purchase my device 3 weeks ago.. and waiting before purchasing the CM4 or CM5 .. so got plenty of time
By the way… Thanks for those sofware ported !
any chance we will get a cm5 port for dragon os @rex … just asking haha i run this on alost all my machines haha better then kali for me as a rogue Ham
im gettin the uConsole RTL-SDR/LoRa/GPS/RTC/USB Hub All-In-One Extension Board I plan to strap a radioberry to it as the ultimate machine . if you can try to look into it
I sure will! I just redid the Ubuntu image and now the installer works with the CM5. DragonOS is the last image that only works on the CM4 still and I want to get it working on the CM5. I’ll work on it in the next day or two.
thanks man ! really apreciate i can strat planing ahead and try to figure a way to get a full gipo out of this thing with the rtl board on so i can make the radioberry work without too much ducking arround by any chance as anyone figured out wthas was up with the ‘GPIO’’ header on the main board … is it usable in anyway
This thread might give you some insight on it. The DevTerm uses the same main board albeit a version older but that header didn’t change.
… aaahhhhhhhhhhhh . well al sleep tomorrow i guess
thanks man @Rex … hahhaha
ok forget it . the expantion board has 2 or 3 usb out . am not gonna break my back i happen to have a juiceboard (basicly a gpio to usb c ) i know where am going now thanks
that would probably be the easier route.
for now… then is the power problem ,HEAT , preamp , filters
my uconsole is going to be 3 inch thick by the time is done
I’m very excited for vileer’s RTL-SDR board that’s shipped out this batch. DragonOS seems to be best for all the functions, but I currently have the CM5. Does the Pi64 version currently work out of the box, or should I wait for Rex to finish debugging the Ubuntu version?
The pi64 one is Ubuntu and I’ve spent 3 days of free time the last couple days trying to get it working on the CM5 but it just wont work. It boots but fails to load the desktop.
New SDR distro!
I’m now working on a new distro based off the same bookworm image that you’ve come to know and love. It will have most if not all the tools in DragonOS plus a few extra. That will also make it easier in integrate the HackerGadgets AIO package without Ubuntu’s shenanigans getting in the way.
I’ve only been working on it the last 2 days, I plan on having a test image out in a day or two. So keep an eye out, I’ll need some people to test!
Ubuntu’s base images just don’t work well on the Pis to begin with, thus the move.
