Fedora on the uConsole(CM4), flashable now, looking for testers (esp. 4G)

Follow-up to my reddit post a few days ago about getting Fedora Kinoite on the uConsole the atomic way.

It’s working and ready to flash now.

Versions:

Two versions, both on the official CM4 kernel (6.12.62-v8+) with KDE.

Atomic (Kinoite): immutable, atomic updates and rollback. → I prefer that !!

Flash the .img.gz with Raspberry Pi Imager or Etcher (both take the .gz directly).

I don’t have the 4G module, so LTE is totally untested.
If you’ve got the HAT, I’d really appreciate you trying it.

It’s like the official clockworkOS manual activation → : run `sudo uconsole-4g enable`.

- I’m planning to get images running for the CM5 as well. Unfortunately, I don’t have a CM5 module to test on yet. If anyone has a spare one they’d be willing to donate to the project, it would be hugely appreciated!

I have a 4g model a spare sd card and plenty of time I’ll be able to do it tomorrow hopefully i will see if i can get 4g to work on it though I’ll have to take my aio out first. If i get it working i will say here first.

Does this image have rpi-eeprom config package? That’s essential for correctly and consistently booting the image on CM5.

I ran the plain fedora and I just get a blank screen it’s no hardware issue as my Debian works. Im on cm4 with newest screen wonder if that could cause it. Ive left it for about 20 minutes and still nothing HDMI doesnt work either I flashed it with balena etcher.

Reflashed via Raspberry and got a successful boot. However as soon as i booted i got about 30 fatal errors saying parts of it crashed.

It should not do that

I have tested it with normal CM4 Module without LTE Module. Its working since Weeks without any issues or errors. Can you send me more detailed infos? Screenshots, error logs etc?

I tested your image on CM5. It only boot successfully once, and display does not work afterwards.
Maybe I need to use the CM4…

Im on the plain fedora not kinoite. CM4104000. And the errors have no effect that ive noticed ill mess around some more then ill Install the 4g module.

Finally got round to setting up the 4g but it doesnt detect the modem at all and it looks like the green led isn’t on (ignore the aio cover on the 4g board)

I can also prove it’s not a hardware issue as i have it working on my Debian build. I believe its due to sudo uconsole-4g enable I wouldnt know how to fix it but message me any command or instruction to help with diagnostics and I would gladly help.
