My gameshell has just been freezing every 3sec for 4sec after installing v0.4
Anyone else have the same issue or fix?
thx Damien
Solution for freezing: switch to golauncher and then you can swap back to the default and the freezing should stop

installling v0.4 you mean flash the os image to sdcard?
and could you ssh into gameshell run a command
cat /tmp/x.log
paste the result here
Wifi doesn’t seem to be working,
when scanning nothing appears.
I’m also currently using v0.3 but same problem occurs
switched to golauncher, problem solved but still no wifi?
so v0.3 has no wifi??
that’s wired
that should be a big problem
Check if your network is 5Ghz Gameshell doesn’t “see” those networks as it only supports 2.4Ghz
I have 2 2.4ghz networks and 1 5ghz and have connected to them before but now when i go to scan for wifi, the scanning box appears and quickly disappears and i cant use usb-ethernet because i need wifi in the first place.
I’m using v0.4 again because the freezing has stopped
I heard you can do a manual reset on the main board but cant find out how?

hciconfig -a
sudo rfkill list
ps aux | grep brcm
cat /proc/driver/brcmf_fw
paste all results please
how would i go about running these commands i can’t ssh into the gs
could it maybe be related airplane mode not fully activating wireless connections?
not sure, are you in airplane mode ?
can u ssh into gs with usb network?
even there is no wifi, the usb network should work
and the ip is
192.168.10.1
ssh cpi@192.168.10.1
its just hangs, keeps looking for a connection.
might be doing it wrong but ethernet is plugged into my laptop, do i need a driver for linux?

wifi is gone for sure
and the kernel also did not produce the /proc/driver/brcmf_fw
It’s hard to say what is the problem, maybe the wifi chip is really down
if you in one-year warranty, send an email to help@clockworkpi.com ?
