I give up. I’ve finally gotten SDR ++ to show a waveform but no sound. I followed the instructions for the uConsole AIO V1/V2 Extension board setup. Have installed and uninstalled SDR++ and SDR++ Brown multiple times switching between the two but I can’t get any sound. I can play YouTube sound just fine though, so it’s definitely an SDR++ problem. When I run it from the terminal I see an error “couldn’t load librtaudio.so.6”. Tried install and uninstalling librtaudio multiple times too. Any suggestions?
I had this issue. Here is a copy of my notes that got it working for me. Hope it helps.
-
Install sdrpp-brown.
SDR++ Brown appears in the Accessories Menu. -
When SDR++ Brown is first run, open the ‘Source’ section then select RTL-SDR from the drop down.
-
Scroll down on the left to the ‘Module Manager’ section.
At the bottom of the section is a text box, enter ‘PulseAudio’ into the box then in the drop down to the right, select ‘linux_pulseaudio_sink’ then click the ‘+’ to the right to add it to the Modules list. -
Scroll up to the ‘Sinks’ section.
Under ‘Radio’, from the drop down, select ‘PulseAudio’. -
Click the Play icon, top left of the main window, to start the radio stream.
yes same here, have to do the pulseaudio and the sink stuff otherwise no audio, after that hopefully should work
and trust me josie i know what you mean, i have nearly thrown mine against the wall a few times!!!, just did 2 wipes of the OS on the weekend because meshcore console is not working properly!
Try cubic sdr that will determine if its hardware (though I highly doubt it as you see waves) and have you checked the volume in the top left.
