Yes I a complete noob on this. I want to scan and listen to Ham radio, FRS radio, and aircraft transmissions in the area. But I have no clue how to set this up. New to radio and want to learn more.
From my other post you know I’m new to the Uconsole also. I’m just working it thru it one set at a time to learn all the things I can do and SDR++ is my first step after getting the system up and running.
Perfect than you. A manual is what I need. I did just find the test setup on the hacker gadget page and have it listening to FM radio.
Ok that was a quick learn for the basics. I figured out how to make an FM channel list and add stations to it. I will create other lists for the other things I want to listen too. I will have to do more research for more advanced things.
Note you may need to adjust your telescopic antenna length to suit the frequency you’re interested in and/or purchase other antennae for best results in specific bands…
I can never get mine (hgv2) to pick up with any antenna or setting. Naturally does standard FM but even standing 50’ away on low power with my 878uvii+ I get nada. Honestly haven’t tried figuring it out till this moment. Any pointers?
