I wanted an on off button for the battery as a reset button because I have locked up mine with some bad code. Some have hinted to the hackergadget R14 solution, this is how I used it.
After removing the resister I soldered on a 2 pin batter style connector that had 90 degree bent pins. Then I added a toggle or push lock power button to the bottom of the case using a hole I drilled. Glued the button to the back cover and solderd wires so I could disconnect the back cover from the device when tinkering vs hard wired and kicking myself later.
Thanks to everyone who pointed out the pins on the new battery card, it worked perfect.
