Amazing upgrade. Thanks @vileer for providing the option of hooking up a switch to power. This gives the ability to force cut the power, anytime something happens. No need to unscrew the back and remove batteries!
I made a small hole in the case, and glued the NC switch inside. Now I only need a paperclip to press the button, and presto, power is cut. Amazing upgrade!
Thanks for the reminder of this mod.. Your implementation looks great! I knew I read about it somewhere and just relooked at the NVMe battery board description and it mentioned it:
Manual on/off control: Desolder R14 and connect a push-lock switch to J6. The battery will be turned on when the switch is locked. And turn off when the switch is released.
Did you just remove the lever/arm from the D2MSL switch?
