HackerGadgets AIO Board Package

Yeah took it all apart checked contacts, re-seated…nada!

I may have to contact them alright. Shame really, I had assembled all the parts in anticipation of getting this complete and up and running over the weekend. Thanks for the input! Kudos on your commitment to the project! :call_me_hand:

Picked up antennas from post office today. Fresh install Bookworm on CM4. Installed AIO board and antennas. All programs up and running with no issue.

Has anyone been able to get banner or sound notification working in Meshtastic?

Good, I’m glad everything is working for you. I don’t think the notifications work with MUI on the desktop.

I guess I can confirm that. I messed with it for a while and was unable to get it to work.

Want to report an observation. Rebooted and had a prompt on menu bar to update Meshtastic-MUI. PyGPSClient stopped working for me after I upgrade Meshtastic MUI and set it up. Don"t think update caused issue. I went into Meshtastic MUI and disabled the gps and rebooted. PyGPSClient started working again. Can reproduce this behavior. This is on the CM4.

Have you contacted me at the contact page? I’ve made an adapter to use the RTL-SDR of the AIO board with a regular computer. I can send you one for further diagnostics. If it turn out into a hardware problem, we can arrange a replacement.

How long did it take you to copy the maps to the Uconsole?

A minute, I just did the basic atlas pack. It’s less than a gig.

I figured it was going to take a while. Will get it started and leave it overnight

No, I mean it will take 1 minute, no need to leave overnight.

Yeah, it did not take long at all. Working like a champ. GPS picks up way more satellites than the T-Deck.

I can confirm that an actual 1090Mhz antenna improves the amount of airplane activity picked up in tar 1090. I purchase these Amazon.com

This is great, thanks for reducing the cognitive burden on getting my new uConsole with @Vileer’s everything expansion board set up! Only thing is, the Meshtastic MUI/web application don’t seem to be working for me. Three (GPS, SDR++, tar1090) out of four ain’t bad, but does anyone have any troubleshooting tips?

I’ve checked the micro antenna connections for LoRa, and they rotate in place ok on the internal board and the antenna board so they’re snapped in properly.

I’ve set the radio to US region.

Both the webapp and the MUI see the device fine. But the MUI says “No signal” and neither application show any nodes. And I have two local nodes.

Any tips for getting Meshtastic working? I have a multimeter and an oscilloscope around here somewhere. Thanks!

in the web ui in the lora settings did you set the Frequency Slot to 20?
have you messaged your other nodes. you won’t get a signal til your device hears another nodes heartbeat.

Oh, that’s got to be it, didn’t know about that change. BUT it won’t save, either by clicking the top right floppy disk save icon or not, and exiting that config screen then going back to it. The Frequency Slot is stuck on 1.

make the change then hit the save button and wait 20 secs and don’t do anything. you’ll see a notification pop up in the lower right of the window.
then refresh the page and go back to the setting and see if the change stuck.

Weird, it stuck but also threw an error writing to config file in the popup. Anyways I’m seeing nodes now, thanks! Now I just have to find the map files for the MUI. Cheers

Map files need to be placed in /home/USER/.portduino/default/maps

I have all the default map packs in my google drive folder.
