Thank you, Rex for your quick replies!!! just a quick question. Would it have any effect to the LSUSB print out if the antenna was not connected correctly?
I need another uConsole for this accessory card… I use my 4g too much to get one…
No, the device will still show up without an antenna. Is the SDR still not showing up?
lsusb:
I have reseated the AIO board & tried a separate antenna as well with SDR++Brown still not populating a antenna
The SDR doesn’t need anything installed for it to show up under the USB devices. The fact it’s not showing up tells me there might be something wrong with it.
Would I reach out to the support team on Hacker Gadgets in this situation?
Also thank you for your patience & support! I’m very excited to get everything running correctly
Huge thanks go to Vileer for the HackerGadgets AIO board. It arrived today and I’ve had fun putting everything together. It was well packaged and the tracking was really helpful
Another huge thanks to Rex for packaging everything so well for the board. I have Meshtastic, SDR++ Brown and PyGPSClient running and all have connected without issue. tar1090 is one I haven’t tried yet and know nothing about it for now.
Installing the board and antennae was painless and running Rex’s package and config was a 5 minute job. I can’t thank you enough…again!!!
Great! I’m glad all is working and thanks for the coffee!
You’re very welcome
Have you successfully gotten data out of GPSD with a client app like Foxtrot?
We should pin this insight about checking the US Frequency Slot = 20. @vileer and @Rex, perhaps add it to the setup documentation? I spent days thinking the unit was malfunctioning before finally reading this entire thread top to bottom!
I’ll add it to the OP.
It seems that the latest meshtasticd stable (2.6.11) works pretty well with the web UI, I tried upgrade to it and now the webui is… not crashing every time i try to save
Thanks for the tips. Will point it out in the guide.
hey @vileer does the usb port on AIO support charging?
Not supported charging, only for power output.
Hi Adam,
No, with the GPS app I’ve loaded it up a few times and seen it lock onto 5 satellites, but that was inside my home. I have yet to take the unit outside. I don’t know how the GPS works (yet) as I have never played with anything like this before (certainly not outside using Sat Nav systems or when geocaching), so it’s a pretty steep learning curve
Received the HackerGadgets RTL-SDR board and thanks to Rex’s package have enjoyed using the apps in the package (Thanks Rex). I noticed that sdrpp can detect HD radio. I managed to get NRSC5 to compile and run, however, I can only access the audio, not the weather or traffic information. I tried to run nsrc5-dui (which is a python app), however, I keep getting a “cannot find module numpy” error. Tried reinstalling numpy (using “apt install python3-numpy”) and it keeps telling me latest version installed. Has anyone been able to run nsrc5-dui on rex’s package? Thanks.
Was having major problems following the official instructions. Have only a small amount of experience in Lenox. This post absolutely saved me. I was getting extremely frustrated and was about to rage quit for a while until I stumbled on this post. First time I tried I must have typed something wrong. Second time the package worked and now my device it working perfectly. Thank you for all your hard work on this project. You made this man very happy today.
I’m glad it helped! Have fun, it’s a great little addon for the device.
