I am having a issue with my RJ45/USB expansion board. When I boot from SD card with the expansion board in the power button blink fast once and then nothing. If I remove the expansion board everything boots fine. Running the full Upgrade kit and a CM5 lite. Sent an email to hackergadgets but haven’t heard back. Order #6213.
Vileer is on her sometimes, but you are better off emailing them through official channels. They respond quickly and can help you.
Sorry, Don’t know who Viller is, and email who on what official channel? Hackergadget? Already done that, No awnser yet.
Thank you for fast response though:-)
That is who you needed to contact. Relax and have a little patience and they will get back to you.
you can send a private message to @vileer
I use a Western Digital 2TB WD Blue SN5000 with no problems.
Battery for real time clock showed up today in the mail. It is a shame I had to order 10 of them to get just 1.
Got it installed and everything is up and running now. The Ethernet and USB C have come in super handy. I am happy with the Upgrade kit!!
I am using a sabrent rocket 1tb gen4 with no issue, on a pi5 I didn’t even adjust anything.. I just made sure not to check new partition ids with the sd copy app on the uconsole.. successfully kept all my files and just shutdown, removed sd and booted straight away… then formatted sd. It may be a voltage thing.. some gen4 drives take a lot of power to run compared to gen3
I shall be building 2 vershions inc Radxa cm5 once done i will have a video up.
Hi can anyone recommend the best image / OS to use to take advantage of all the features if the new AIO (7 antenna versions that just shipped) as well as the AC1200 WiFi board?
he is the creator of these boards.
Has anyone else had an issue getting the ribbon cable to insert? I don’t know if maybe the piece I received is slightly too wide or it I’m missing something.
(cable oriented for visibility)
You have to flip it, the “5V” tag of the ribbon has to match the sockets “5V” tag.
Also make sure you don’t mix it up with the ribbon for the AIO/USB expansion board (if you have it) They look very similar.
Thank you so much for responding! I apologize, I should have made my intentions with that picture clearer: I wanted to make the size concern easier to see so I flipped it. I took a picture with it the other way and it was a little hard for me to see.
Oh! I’ll double check; thank you!
That was 100% it, thanks so much ![]()
Do you have more expansion boards?
I have the NVME and USB/RJ45 so I have 2 ribbon cables and as said they look very similar.
I have both version of the AIO board, but thankfully you were 100% right. I somehow missed the second ribbon cable in the packaging ![]()
Thanks so much ![]()
Happy to be of help, and you saved me from taking the backplate of mine to show you how lol
And for the wifi adapter I suggest installing “Intercept” it supports monitor mode, and it has a option to select the AIO board.
