How Will New Tariffs Affect uConsole Orders That Have Been Awaiting Shipment Since Last Year?

Hi ClockworkPi Team and Community,

With the new U.S. tariffs going into effect in May 2025, I was wondering how they will impact existing uConsole orders that were placed last year but have still not shipped.

Many of those who ordered in late 2024 when the shipping estimate was about 90 business days, where I understand they can be some delays and it was an estimated timeframe. Since the orders were placed and paid for before the tariffs were announced, will they still be subject to the new tariffs and customs fees once they ship?
Or will there be accommodations made for customers whose orders were delayed beyond the original shipping estimate?

Just looking for clarification on how the tariff changes will affect uConsole orders that have been pending shipment for several months.

Thank you!

Not much clockwork can do about it apart from writing down the value of the packages.
But then you run in to other risks and liabilities so that’s not really advisable.

When the package comes to the US it’ll get processed by customs and taxes and import duties will be forwarded to you the buyer so you can pay them and get your package released.
Doesn’t matter if the order and payment happened last year since it’s the value of the import it’s going by and the import happens when the parcel gets processed through customs.
