I got it, and broke it :-(

Hi all… not much of a software guy here so not surprised that when running some updates I ‘broke’ the wifi (networking), no icon in the task bar, no way of activating it.

Struggling to find a fix so would love to hear from the collective hive… how do I ‘re-enable’ the networking and so re connect the wifi to my uConsole?

You can try this.

Or try one of the more updated community made distros.

cheers for the pointers, I tried some of the suggestions but in the end I just flashed a new SD card!

Thats ok right now, I have only been investing time learning what I can do with this thing so far… and loving it!

Did you flash the same OS or one of the newer community ones?

I got mine today and ran into the same issue. You usually do wifi config in the intial setup or can run raspi-config.

In the Panel Applets I removed “Wireless and Wired Networks” then added “Network Manager” and it started working fine for me.

Might have been after I updated, but the last thing you want to do is always reflash when that happens.

When you have to fix your WIFI problem you can follow the following steps that i have mentioned:
Firstly you have to check whether the Network Manager service is running and then ensure it is set to start on boot. After all these reboot your system,if that doesn’t work, try reinstalling the Network Manager.Check your network settings to re-enable WiFi.
