I have to reset uConsole by removing batteries

I find that when my system freezes or fails to boot the only way to recover is to remove the batteries for a couple of seconds and put them back in. Anyone else? Also, I cannot reboot, it crashes the system and I have to do the battery thing

Don’t make us guess what your config is. What core are you using? (CM4? CM5? R-01? A-04? A-06?) What image are you running? (Distro? Official or community?)

Sorry. I have a CM5 8 gig and running the official Clockworkpi Bookworm 6.6.78. Also it rarely boots when you first power it up, the screen comes on but nothing else. I have to shut it down and try 2 or 3 times.

Interesting. But I’ll have to stop you here.

The official image runs Debian Bullseye with a 5.10 kernel. You definitely mean the community image. You’d best raise your concerns at this link instead.

Further, do note (1) the image still has outstanding issues, and (2) you may need to replace your microSD card for one that is more compatible with the Raspberry Pi 5 series. See the same link for details.

Thank you. I never thought of the SD card. It’s a Samsung EVO plus 256 gig.
