I was wondering if you could add a local time feature for each user. The main reason for this request is that I want to understand if people ignore messages or they are on the other side of the planet and are simply asleep. I believe this will enhance my experience during the communication with other members.
I don’t know of any forum software that does this.
@barry99705 I agree with you (I contribute to nvidia’s developer community, and they don’t have local times displayed either), but I believe it is worth to be tested (e.g., using target and treatment groups). While other platforms do not have local time’s displayed, it may turn out to be beneficial once tested.
I noticed how similar are these two platforms (nvidia’s forum and clockworkpi’s). I suspect they use an open source solution. Will check if there is one, and will suggest them too.
@barry99705 I came up to this idea after using slack for about 2 years, it is very helpful when you can see other member’s local time, and you know when to expect a response from them.
Are those two things comparable to each other? I mean slack and forums.
And yes, they use an open-source project called Discourse.
