I’m very new to Linux and kali, my second week of playing🤓. I’m an amateur radio operator of many years, my question is it even possible to get sdr++ running on kali?

Yes, I already have it compiled in my APT repo. In the terminal do: sudo apt update then sudo apt install sdrpp

Also run sudo apt upgrade to update all the packages then try and install sdr++
It also might not be able to be installed on Kali. I’ve only ran it on Bookworm but I know somebody was using it on ParrotOS.

Uninstall mitmproxy

sudo apt remove mitmproxy

then install the sdrpp again and it works perfectly.

Did you install sdrpp_debian_sid_aarch64.deb, or the Bookworm bin? When I installed the Bookworm bin I had the same issue, when I removed it, then installed the SID bin it worked fine. Hopefully this fixes it for you, though I still haven’t taken the time to get the speakers to work (only had it a few days), I’ve been using a bluetooth speaker.

Do you not have any audio out the speakers or just in sdrpp?

Audio works perfectly apart from in sdrpp. My problem is no audio under the sinks drop down menu in the sdrpp software, I’ve read on reddit others have had the same problem with other platforms

hhey guys does anyone have the same issue that i have : fresh intall on cm5 emmc model , first boot every thing goes perfect does itd thing , but then i shut it down or rebooot ..black screen nothin not even hdmi … ? ( kali image)

Did you end up getting it to work? I just burned a fresh image, booted the file system expanded, it rebooted to the login screen. Did you try removing the batteries then booting again?

i tryed it all man i dont get it , its all there when i put it back on the dev kit board no errors nothoing it just dosent boot at all maybe i missed something in the confile but .. am pretty sure idid not , i burned the twister os and no problem at all

I’ll have to test on my emmc cm5 to check, I tested on my cm5 lite a bit ago. See if that makes a difference. Maybe the download was corrupted? I’ll test later tonight.

@Anthony_Bernier_Rome @Rex i have the same issue, it works good on cm4, but today when i upgrade to CM5 and trying to reboot i see black screen and green power button (system not rebooted, i think some process not ending and it still working), for switch off system i need to remove battery to poweroff and start it again.
BUT it work with poweroff directly (if you are use poweroff it working good)

So it’s just on reboots that you get a blank screen?

Yes, the system working really good, but when I try reboot it look like system power off, display turned off but system working, and I can’t poweroff console with hold power button, only battery removing. In other cases it is ok(as I know, performance good too)
