Updated Images for new uConsole screens

For those of you that have recently received a new uConsole. I’ve updated most my images to work with the new screen. I still have a couple to do but the updated ones are labeled with kernel 6.12.67.
Updated ones:
Debian 12 Bookworm
Debian 13 Trixie
DragonOS
Kali
RetroPie
TwisterOS
Ubuntu 24.04

The images can be found here and discussions in their respective forum threads.

My uConsole hasn’t arrived yet, but I am already grateful to you for keeping the platform alive through your work!

As soon as I receive my uConsole, I will be happy to send you some virtual coffees and hope that others support you as well.

How do we know which screen we have ??

The images will still work with all the older uConsole panels also.

practically nothing, just minor differences in the driver initialization

I just “upgraded” to the latest Kali image.. did an apt update && apt upgrade :

I messed it up somehow.

Do a sudo apt remove DevTerm* it’s complaining about the devterms printer.

Hi Rex, thanks for your work! I have a problem. I wanted to test the new Kali image, but the screen stays off! The backlight comes on, but that’s it! I think it’s booting, but the display isn’t working! It works with the 6.12.34 image! It would be great if you could check what the problem is. Thanks

Did you apply any custom settings when flashing the image?

Hello. No, I only downloaded it, flashed it with rpi imager, and booted it.

Does any of the other fresh images work? If trixie works then there might be something wrong with that image.

I tested Bookworm. It works great! I downloaded Trixie but haven’t tested it yet.

If the newest Bookworm image is working then the kali one should too. They’re both running the same kernel and overlays.

Okay, I’ll download it again and test it.

Hey Rex, I figured out why Kali wasn’t booting. I installed Kali on the NVMe drive. With the new image, you modified the config.txt file so the SSD would be recognized (pciex1). I had to disable that again to boot the new Kali from the SD card. Sorry for bothering you.
