Just received 10 from AliExpress, first four rubbish so gave up for now. I’ve reinstalled the original after rolling around in a tissue soaked in IPA (iso propyl alcohol), no need to disassemble. It seems that finger grease upsets the wee beastie after a while. I’ll search for a slightly larger ball and post my results asap (including fine sanding if needed).

NOTE. The only orientation that’s needed is that of the four plastic legs, only two have tiny pins that go into holes on the left and right of the keyboard pcb. Whether the metal strip is facing up or down does not seem to matter.
