I just received my PicoCalc and I absolutely love it! I already updated BIOS to 1.4, flashed uf2loader and I’m using PicoMite V6.02.01 to learn Basic. But I have a question about keyboard - is it just my device or all keyboards requires you to press the buttons quite hard to register a click? Or maybe I assembled something wrong (but I don’t think so)? I mean I don’t have to press extremely hard but sometimes I lose charactes when typing.
It’s a design flaw - the rubber keys are too squishy and simply don’t send enough pressure through to the tactile domes under them.
Yes takes a little force yet less chance of accidental keypresses as a result.
A more ‘pressing’ issue to me is keyclicks not registering even though an audible click is heard, seems a mechanical issue…
Just use it. They break in with a bit of use. (they did on both of my devices) Not to the level of “this it the cake i was looking for” of course.
