Rubber feet for the PicoCalc

Do you have any solution to prevent the device from sliding around on smooth surfaces?

Hi!

I cut a few small rubber cylinders — I used the little anti-slip pads I salvaged from the base of an old monitor as raw material.

Now my PicoCalc no longer slides around all the time. It turned out to be a good, simple, and inexpensive solution

This is a solution that I also had in mind.

Do they press fit or did you have to glue them?

The rubber pads I used already had their own adhesive backing.
But I suppose you could also glue them with a liquid adhesive, or just cut them slightly larger than the holes in the case so they stay firmly in place.

Has anyone just tried putting a tiny dab of rubber cement glue on the feet of the case? I tried, but my rubber cement jar contained just a big glob of “rubber”.:face_with_diagonal_mouth: I’ll be picking up some rubber cement tomorrow, or so, to give it a try.

Well, the rubber cement did not work. It was a bit tacky for a while, but then after I put it back in its case, the rubber cement wore off, and it left a tiny bit of (non-sticky) residue. My PicoCalc just slides around on my desk, like new.

Thanks for sharing. It was a good idea and worth a try.

Just standard sticky feet for now…
