While awaiting delivery I am studying making PicoCalc more robust. A dab of hot glue on the ON/OFF Switch. Vinyl electricians tape to secure the display.

Also don’t tight the screws to strongly ![]()
Had mine since April and back on/off around 20 times so far, several core swaps and display out once to clean the glue residue off (didnt notice it during assembly)
. Yes screen taped down AND centre two screws modified to hold everything in place when the back is removed. Currently looking quite the beastie, and set to get worse lol…. Just be careful !, I use the rubber coated handle of my micro pliers to gently loosen cores (alternating one end to the other). Beware the display connector too
, quite fiddly and easy to break (I’ve broken one or two on other devices).
