Rubber feet for the uConsole

Which solution do you have to prevent the device from sliding around on smooth surfaces?

Unfortunately, there was no direct response to my question yet, but to gather a few ideas in this thread, I’m linking to this great implementation by @DigitalDreams:

I printed one of these in tpu.

I have an Ender 3 Pro, which I struggled with for some time until it was set up just right, and now I’ve been very happy with it for years. I’m reluctant to go to the trouble and effort of converting it to a direct extruder so that I can print TPU. :grimacing:

The silicone tubing I ordered on eBay arrived today. Now I was able to copy @DigitalDreams’ idea and slide the silicone tubing over the uConsole stand.

To do this, I gripped the eyelet ends of the stand with an adjustable wrench and bent them slightly to the side, because on my first attempt - as DigitalDreams described - the tube got cut by the sharp edges of the wire. I also tried to smooth out the edges of the wire ends a bit with a file.

The tube has an inner diameter of 2 mm and an outer diameter of 4 mm. I used two pieces, each 5 cm long.

Here are a few pictures:
