Took some effort and tore one but a huge improvement when on hard surfaces, still locks too. Silicon sleeve, various colours available. Finger grease helps the sleeve slide yet a piece of cloth is needed to grip it and slowly push/pull. Be careful of the wire ends ripping the sleeve, be patient, keep it straight as it goes onto the wire or it will tear !

Yes, this is very much a needed mod. What thickness tubing did you buy? I want to order some.

too bad that it won’t fit with the antenna mounts, I’m planning to make a new printed design, but I have been too lazy

Just pulled a suitable size from an old box of tubing sorry, you can measure the diameter of the stand metal tho…
