I’m wondering how much space is available under the CM4 adapter when it’s installed, above the motherboard.
A new CM4 adapter would fix many of the “unavailable GPIO” issues that come up if you also want to use the 4G adapter.
I suspect the answer will be “no space” left, but I’m hoping to be surprised!

Yeah, I saw that after I posted, forgot that view, thanks. Some of the other adapters have surface mount stuff on the back side, just nothing tall.
I don’t have a uConsole so I can’t measure those posts.
So maybe we can squeeze a USB 2 hub on the back of a redesign of the CM4 adapter… Would need to ensure you’re using short polarized caps and a short crystal…
Is there any space between CM4 board and back shell?
Waiting for my unit to arrive.
Is it “only” a gap-pad for the heat between and how thick is that?
I’m wondering if there could be room for an adapter board between main pcb and cm4 adapter.
Need to look for step files on the uConsole
