I found this just now, it’s essentially a programming language that lets you compose music programatically and hear the results live. Unfortunately my CM3 seems a touch too slow to run the more complex examples! Would be curious if those work on a CM4 as I’ll finally be able to use mine in a couple of weeks.
Seems like a killer app for the uConsole, letting you experiment with music and compose on the go!

tested it on CM5 16 Gb ram, and seems to run flawlessly. Bit too technical for me though, the few times i make some music i would like a bit more visualisation of what im doing
Why a CM4 though and not just go for the CM5?
Thanks for testing it out, that’s encouraging! There are visualizers built in, but of course you have to program them.
And to answer your question, I thought about the CM4 vs CM5 debate quite a lot. I value battery life a lot more than a bump in performance. While the CM5 does have somewhat higher performance-per-Watt figures, it’s not a huge increase, and I believe the power consumption at low loads would be worse for my usecase.
I already have fast computers if I need that, so I want my uConsole to be ‘convenient’, not necessarily the fastest it can be. And I’ve heard of issues with the CM5 such as speaker noise at low battery levels, and difficulties shutting down the system completely (also very bad for battery life).
