Trackball and keyboard not working

re-flash the sd card.

I had tried that before I posted (3 times) but then I am always telling
people to reboot so I ran a new image (on SD that was in Console) and
what do you know REX was right. Just needed one more.

Thanks for the suggestion!

Hi, I received my console yesterday and had the same issue. I did reflated the SD, reseated CM4 and everything else with no progress.

Upon close inspection of the keyboard PCB discovered that the small dip switch was loose. Resoldered but nothing happened. Finally I did re-flashed the keyboard firmware following the instructions in the GitHub and voila all worked.

Hope this helps you!

I had the same issue, but my adapter board for the CM4 wasn’t aligned evenly in the slot. Fixing that fixed the keyboard and track ball issue.

I got exactly the same issue. My keyboard came with a suspect solder. I had to ask for a new keyboard. It was sent at not cost. Replacement unit worked just fine.

Unfortunately, I could only move the cursor vertically, with no lateral movement.

I reached out to help@clockworkpi.com to describe the issue, and I must say, their customer support was exceptional. They were friendly, knowledgeable, and very helpful. After explaining my problem, they sent a replacement part.

Now, I’m just waiting for the replacement trackball to arrive, and I’m confident that it will resolve the issue. I will keep you updated once it arrives.
