initramfs-tools updated replacing a config to build a custom initramfs you can either reinstall clockworkpi-kernel or issue this command sed -i ‘/^MODULES=dep/c\MODULES=most’ “/etc/initramfs-tools/initramfs.conf” and finish what you were doing.
Works great on my CM3, thanks a lot!
I’m having trouble with sdrpp-brown on a fresh install. At first I had no audio and no audio device to add to sinks. I used the fix Roy linked and audio works. I can tune into standard FM stations fine, but anything in the HF bands look completely dead. If I switch my antenna over to my malahit SDR I see all sorts of signals.
When running the fix in Roy’s link it did remove sdrpp-brown during the process so perhaps that is the problem? I obviously manually reinstalled using ‘apt install sdrpp-brown’
Anyone else seeing this?
You don’t need to install anything else. You need to make a sink in Module Manager. In module manager name the sink audio then in the drop down select linux_pulseaudio then click the + sign. Then select it from the sinks drop-down.
Got it, that was the part of your previous comment I was having trouble with.
I was able to create the sink, though the actual fix was to switch Direct Sampling from disabled to Q branch. I’ve never messed with this setting in the past using regular sdrpp or GQRX. GQRX doesn’t appear to have an option for direct sampling.
Battery Question:
I’ve recently received my uConsole and have installed Trixie (GUI). I’ve charged my battery to what I think is 100% (Overnight), and then ran
echo 1 | sudo tee /sys/class/power_supply/axp20x-battery/calibrate
I’m now trying to run the uConsole down until it turns off. I’ve been running for a few hours now and the battery capacity still show 100% in the desktop and when I run the command below.
$ cat /sys/class/power_supply/axp20x-battery/capacity
100
$
At what point should I see the battery % reflect the battery capacity? I’ve purchased Samsung 35E 18650 3500mAh 8A from https://www.18650batterystore.com/.
you have to run it till it dies.
Thank you Rex. Will do.
Another question with the Trixie build. When running “sudo apt update”, I’m getting the below. (I’ve installed kismet using their Trixie instructions.
Warning: http://download.opensuse.org/repositories/network:/Meshtastic:/beta/Debian_13/InRelease: Policy will reject signature within a year, see --audit for details
Warning: https://www.kismetwireless.net/repos/apt/release/trixie/dists/trixie/InRelease: Policy will reject signature within a year, see --audit for details

Isn’t CM4 aarch64?
$ arch
aarch64
the two repo have signing keys that are going to expire soon.
yes the cm4/5 is aarch64/arm64
Hmm, wonder why the kismet is thinking that the CM4 is using armhf…
Thank you for all you have done for the community. I’ve been reading as much as possible trying to compile all the different threads to setup my uConsole. (Battery, sleep, Hackergadgets AIO, etc)
Rex, your neofetch run shows a GPU. I’m running the latest Trixie on a CM5. I have no GPU listed. Is there something I need to do to activate the GPU?
That image is a fresh install only adding neofetch. Everything should be working out the box. Are you using fastfetch or neofetch?
Could you install pi-apps if you don’t already have it and install neofetch from there? That way we have the same version. Maybe the source is not pulling the GPU info of the pi.
Hi all, new to uConsole - on fresh install I’m getting no UI only tty login window. Isn’t it suppose to start automatically? What am I missing?
Did you download the lite version? If so the lite version doesn’t come with a DE, you’ll need to download the regular version of Trixie.
DIdn’t notice there are two versions. Thank you!
After fixing a problem with initramfs, I was able to install pi-apps. You’re right. Neofetch now shows the same output as yours (other than total RAM and kernel version) Thanks!
Finally figured this out. I wasn’t seeing the module manager. After I finally spotted it, Trixie SDR working great. Thanks!
Is it possible to update from Bookworm without wiping the data?
