Ubuntu 6.12.y for the uConsole and DevTerm

You’re batteries are not very good or you need to calibrate them.

Thank you, will try this. I could see the batteries maybe being bad. I purchased ones from Amazon that were higher capacity but since then read that they could still be junk.

Amazon has a lot of fakes and if they advertise more than 3,500mAh then they’re most likely fake.

thanks Rex,every one who buy a uconsole should thank you.

@Rex Howdy, Any idea if the AIO board and the Apps will work on ubuntu?

Its turning off immediately. Im using a CM5 16gb ram 64gb emmc. Can you please suggest me what to do now?

What context is it turning off immediately. Are you trying to boot it for the first time?

I noticed that when I power my uConsole using a power bank (instead of batteries), it works but it’s extremely slow. The terminal doesn’t even open properly, and Firefox immediately asks to force quit.

I’m currently using these batteries I just got from Amazon:

2-Pack of Genuine 35E, 3500mAh Flat Top – Brand: SOOCOOL

It really seems like the issue might be with the batteries. Could you please recommend a reliable set of 18650 batteries that work well with the uConsole?

Thanks in advance!

Amazon is really bad with fake batteries, and that name sounds really fake.
I use these Samsung 35E 18650 3500mAh 8A Battery.

Thanks a lot brother! You are amazing!

Sane charging defaults applied.

What are the charging defaults that come with this image?

Also, this may be off-topic, but do you know whether any part of this image could interfere with the working of Botspot BVM? Total noob here doing linux virtualization for the first time.

2.2A at 5V charging by default the charge controller only does .5A at 5V.

Aren’t the Samsung 35E cells only rated for 2A charge current? I guess there are some losses in-between though. The AXP228 only does 2.2A max either way so might as well use it.

1 cell is 2A but you’re charging 2 cells so 2.2A is well below what they can handle.

Rex, your the goat!!! does this have the cellular module working ?

I have the package for it in my repo sudo apt install uconsole-4g

Hey do you know Ubuntu 25.04 is out so can you please build a 25.04 image (plucky) and to upgrade to 25.04 on all of the apt list files replace the current version with plucky and run sudo apt update && sudo apt upgrade or sudo apt update && sudo apt full-upgrade but I recommend you go use the upgrade command from: https://forums.raspberrypi.com/viewtopic.php?t=389477 but not the 1st upgrade command use the second upgrade command

Also Ubuntu 25.04 us available for rpi
