I have put in the batteries and when I turn it on I can see the green light on the black board on top. But no sound/no screen that turns on. Something is telling me that something might be amiss. Made a photo so folks may chip in. Notice anything unusual?
your battery tray is not connected all the way. it should be like the top pic not the bottom. slide the gold fingers in from the front of the connector at a 45’ angle.
It also looks like the cm4 adapter board is not fully seated.
Thanks for helping! It looks like they are seated in, or is this not good enough? I am asking because the skrews will not go any deeper.
Got a resource for how to properly seat the CM4 adapter?
Also note that the first picture does show a green light near the on/off button. It was not showing this light before when the power was poorly plugged in. So it feels like it does connect to power, but there might be another item that is not connected properly?
I would go though and reconnect everything again and make sure its all connected real good. especially the cm4 to adapter board and adapter board to main board.
Good point. I found it to be a bit fiddly myself and have had to make sure the side lock on the adapter board “snap” into place.
I am always a bit afraid of breaking things, so just to be sure … should I press down until I hear a click?
yes the adapter board will make 2 clicks 1 click on each side. the cm4 into the adapter board will make an almost violent sounding snap for the size and what it is.
Got it to work I think. Thanks all!
