Just a quick story of mine: after almost 9 months of waiting (ordered on 24-04-04, shipped on 24-12-27) I received one: black, CM-4 + 4G, order #279XX.
Everything seems OK. CM-4 is stable at 2140MHz. Community images (e.g. Parrot OS) work.
It has a nice feeling rubber keyboard - quite a surprise as I expected a clicky-plasticky one.
After 8 months I asked what is going on and was told my shipment is one batch ahead. I saw such kind of reply reported by others. I think ~9 months delivery time was also (commonly) reported by others.
Can’t boot it yet because I got the emmc version of rpi cm4, which requires another board in order to flash os image on it, it will only arrive after about 2 weeks .
Just get the cm4 version without the emmc or order the cm4 and the carrier board together.
its 2025 and im hoping that my order can finally be filled. placed the order back in Jun #28993. can’t wait to try the device for my LoraWAN projects. woop woop
lol I’ve been cyber-drooling at the posts here, since I still don’t have my unit. I got a lot of plans for it but its really hard to mind-play this without an actual unit. but I’ve heard from alex duan that things are getting better production wise.
last time I spoke to him its 3-4 batches per month. fingers cross
Alex said they will try to ship out a batch before the Lunar New Year. If they ship, I should be able to receive my order (Order No.: 315xx). If not, I’ll likely have to wait another one or two months because they’ll be on holiday during the Lunar New Year.
I would like to inquire about the Uconsole with the official 4G expansion board and CM4 core. What is the size or generation of the IPEX/u.FL connectors for GPS, WiFi, and 4G?
“Size” is a thing? I’m sure you can get the u.FL specification from the CM4 datasheet or something. The u.FL ports for the GPS and 4G are the same as the one in a CM4 with wireless.
Order: 321XX as well
Color: Matte Silver
Type: WIFI+4G cellular
Core: Raspberry Pi CM4 104000 lite
might finally have something thats better than my DevTerm, which replaced my gameshell… (still have and use both… a CM4 for the Gameshell would rock… but not possible) the DevTerm with CM4 is still quite usable… but this will fit in my pocket again!
