Back in the 90’s whilst saving for our first house, I gave myself an “allowance” each week which I used to save up for a new graphics card, a VooDoo 2. It took six months for me to get enough to buy it. Hmm, it seems that some things never change.
I cherished that graphics card.
I will cherish this PicoCalc even though it isn’t hundreds of dollars, but I feel like this product was designed for me and I had to patiently wait months to receive it.
Just got an email from FedEx. They have my package and it’s supposed to be delivered next Tuesday. Suspiciously quick, from HK to EU in 6 days… We’ll see.
Just wanted to wish you all the best with your community here, sadly I will not be participating as my order from March 17 was apparently ‘lost’ in manufacturing. I know some of you have heard the same tale. Though it was not MY product lost, but Clockwork’s… they seemed fit to punish my faith by continuing to ship hundreds (if not thousands) of units to fill orders long after mine was placed. Imagine walking in to a restaurant and then watching them hand out hundreds of orders after you… hearing everyone talk about their tasty meal, what should a person think? Where is the common sense and fair commerce? I have now received my refund and will bid you all adieu. Good luck.
I did order one. On March 17. I planned to now be ordering 20 more for student curriculum in the fall, after having assessed the initial device. I can only hope that I never see something like this again in the future.
Ordered April 20th, #368xx. Shipped June, 18th, to Germany, now stuck at customs in Frankfurt. But still anounced to be at my place on June, 26th. Hope for the best…
My order #367xx to the US, ordered on April 20th, had its delivery screwed up by the local delivery company GOFO Express and sent back to their distribution center, so I had to call them today to have them send it out for delivery again.
Pushing 3 months here. Emailed them. Was assured “soon” for values of not dealing with these guys again. They don’t have stock and must be backlogging like crazy. Wish I’d have known, wouldn’t have bought. Have had the batteries and PicoW2 and LoRa gear now ..that all arrived within a week and a half. Makes me cross when I see all the youtuber’s going mad with it and a couple talking about it arrived quickly. I bet they were the priority sponsorship to paying people. Thoroughly disappointed. On topic.. ordered a Pico2Computer from SiliconChip Mag.. 4 days.
