Status of PicoCalc

I placed my order on March 13 (order # 34272). Could you please provide any idea when my PicoCalc might be shipped. Thanks

345xx placed 14th March and no sign yet but Clockwork claimed they were sticking to the ā€˜30 business day shipping time’ when contacted..

They don’t tend to respond on the forums and probably won’t even see this post. Email alex@clockworkpi.com and you should get a response.

There’s a lot of activity on the discord with people posting their dates and order numbers. So far I don’t think any orders on the 14th or later have shipped. But the orders from the 13th have shipped and are arriving.

The only email message you’ll get from Clockwork is when the order ships. And you’ll also probably get a tracking email from the carrier (in my case DHL, but that might vary by country.) Orders generally arrive pretty quickly after that shipping email goes out.

Did you get yours yet?!

DHL says it will arrive sometime this evening. I’ll be out during the window, but did the ā€œno signā€ thing in advance, so hopefully it will be waiting for me when I get back.

Similar for me.

Order on March 12.
Shipped on March 22.
Received on March 26.

3 months.. still waiting.

What I’ve learned is that clockworkpi are terrible at communicating and their delivery estimates are worthless.
I waited over 6 months for my uConsole and the pico calc was a birthday present is now way late.
Alex promised ā€œit will ship in Juneā€. The. I emailed yesterday and got ā€œwe don’t know whenā€

Honestly this is the LAST thing I buy from this train wreck of a company.

They are at the mercies of their suppliers. And if their suppliers can’t tell them when ClockworkPi will get their stuff, ClockworkPi can’t tell you when you are going to get your stuff.

So why do they promise you ā€œit’ll ship this monthā€ and then not do it?
Why do they still promise 30 working days shipping when they can’t?
It’s a terrible business model, just be HONEST with people, would that hurt?
instead the promises that aren’t met just annoy people and cause your business reputational damage.

They don’t ā€œpromiseā€:

  • Based on the current supply chain and logistics situation, the estimated delivery time is approximately 30 business days.

There are 20 business days in a month, less if we take into account holidays. So 30 business days is at least 6 weeks. I received mine in 8 weeks, which given the world political climate is not bad.

Right. I would’ve been quite happy with that experience. You ordered Apr 19, received Jun 18.

I ordered Mar 17… any ideas how ā€œthe current supply chain and logistics situationā€ can explain that? Or is it more likely that Paula_Maddox is correct in their assessment? You people shouldn’t have to run defense, this company should manage themselves.

I received mine this week. Ordered Apr 20.

That’s good news!!! I ordered mine April 30, so hopefully I will get mine in the next few weeks…fingers crossed.

c’mon c’mon c’mon. Can’t be long now!! Ordered a picocalc in May. Gotta be comin’ soon right! Right?

So I asked again, after being promised ā€œin the next two weeksā€ā€¦
Now I’ve been told ā€œsometime soonā€.
Honestly way to go to manage customer expectations.
Honestly, just give a realistic time on the website, is that too much to ask?

90 - 120 days. Was 30 days when it first launched. ClockworkPI has always had a hard time predicting theyre ship dates due all of the manufacturing being based in china.

And yet other companies manage perfectly well!
They really need to manage expectations and on the website say 30-90 days.
Just be honest, that’s all I’m asking for.

I’ve now been told definitely July to ship.
I’m not holding my breath.

they don’t predict, they pick a number and don’t ever update it
