When should deliveries of PicoCalc start?

I got it today! Shipping was super smooth (once the thing got shipped finally). The quality of the whole kit is great, manual, packaging and all. Great job, ClockworkPi!

Few tips:

  • I highly recommend this assembly instructions: https://youtu.be/ATwZwTEeSPo - things like keeping protective film on the display as long as possible were very helpful
  • If you don’t yet have the batteries you can still run your PicoCalc. Just connect USB-C charging cable. I connected my cable to a power bank to be able to move around. Of course that’s just a temporary solution because it’s too easy to lose memory contents that way.

I used disposable gloves when I built mine. I could just see me getting fingerprints on the inside of the glass. It would’ve driven me crazy every time I looked at it!

That’s a great idea. I already have those gloves, so that is what I’ll do also. Thanks for the idea.

Picked mine up today

Exact same scenario… I finally cancelled and took my refund. Thank you for the suggestion of the Pico2Computer. I had ordered mid-March, still nothing at the end of June… though many of the people telling us to ‘suck it up’ or re-order had ordered theirs after us (and received delivery). Still no explanation as to how or why we lucky few got so shafted. The only possible explanation is that the units are personalized prior to manufacture, though I haven’t observed any discussion regarding that. For a tech company, FIFO is not a concept they seem to grasp.

I am uConsole, but I gave up on ordering formally and ordered from AliExpress instead. It was expensive, but it arrived in my hands five days after placing the order.

That’s at least a small consolation

Parcel arrived yesterday after almost a week parked in customs. Works well, but I will exchange the Pico 1 to a Pico 2.

Think I will. Just hit 4 months now. Not planning to re-order just to wait another 4+ months. So so sad. Now I have the batteries I purchased and the LoRA gear. :frowning:

If you cancel and reorder there is no guarantee that it will take another four months. If anything, it most likely will take an amount of time similar to what it has been taking other people here on average.

Thank you for this constructive advice.
If Picocalc were here, I would also be happy to participate in other forums (if necessary).
It’s not okay to write “Delivery time is approximately 30 business days” when the delivery time is more than two months.
