Hi all,
Just received my uConsole with CM4 module and also got the Hackergadgets AIO package.
I assembled all together and installed the latest Trixie image, all works fine so far.
Exept that audio wouldnt work at first in SDR++ (which i fixed) and the included lexar sd card gave smoke signals after putting it in for the third time.
Its broken now but fortunately did not damage the main board.
Its not a specific uConsole question but i was not able to find any software for scanning and analyzing wifi channels etc.
I just would like to have a tool which shows a good overview over all ssids, which channels they use and how the signal strength is.
Any idea which program i could use ?
Thanks!

Not exactly what you’re looking for, but I like ‘wavemon’ for testing WiFi reception.
I would agree that aircrack-ng is not what i am looking for.
But waveman is quite okay… this kind of program with a nice GUI
I tried to install kismet but i dont get it to show anything… probably something is not supported.
The aircrack-ng tools do exactly what you mentioned: showing a good overview over all ssids, which channels they use and how the signal strength is.
Aircrack-ng looked for me like a command line tool, without a GUI.
Maybe i am wrong but dont know how to do it… will have alook again tomorrow.
I checked aircrack-ng again… it does not run on my uconsole because the chipset “broadcom 43430” does not support monitor mode.
I found a working wifi scanner with a graphical user interface… linssid.
kismet will require a wifi adapter with monitor mode.
It is possible to get into monitor mode with the broadcom chip when using the nexmon driver.
Only on Kali linux i was able to install the driver but neither kismet nor sparrow-wifi will install without errors. So i guess i have to stick with linssid.
Nexmon has always been a touch flaky. Sometimes it’ll work, sometimes it’ll just lock up, but looks like it’s still working.
